Greater Pittsburgh Lunar New Year Gala

Lunar New Year is the most important holiday celebrated by many international communities all over the world. This year Pittsburgh Chinese Culture Center (PCCC) collaborates with Point Park University’s Pittsburgh Playhouse for the second time to present Greater Pittsburgh Lunar New Year Gala celebrating the Year of the Snake.

FSYE presented Chinese music at Carnegie Art Museum Annual Chinese New Year Fair and Show. Fundraising sales were held by FSYE successfully. The event was reported on local news and media.

Join us in celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander month with a performance by Flying Strings Youth Ensemble. Flying Strings Youth Ensemble are a group of talented young musicians playing various instruments blending traditional Chinese and western music.
March Free First Thursday: Rhythms of Asia

Be amazed by award-winning young musicians from The Flying Strings Youth Ensemble, aged 8 to 18. These talented performers play a diverse selection of instruments, including the Pipa, Guzheng, Erhu, Zhongruan, flute, violin, cello, and piano.
